The unit that I chose was Covering and Surrounding, I chose this because it involves perimeter and area. Last year I was good at that, and this year I think I got better. It is also easy to learn, and it’s fun!
What you learned from that unit?
What I have learned when I did this unit was a lot of things such as… Finding the area and perimeter to triangles, parallelograms, circles, and more.
How the concepts in that unit impact your life?
What I think will help me in the future that I Learned in this book is when I have a house and I need to find the right tiling, or fencing for the perimeter.
Are there any other interesting information?
Some other interesting information that I think was confusing was when we had to do the investigation finding the circumference for a circle and stuff like that.

An area of a figure refers to the measure of the amount of surface enclosed by the boundary of a figure.
Yes, it is possible because you can have two completely different shapes but a lot of them have different perimeters, you can have the same perimeter and not the same area, and you can have the same area and not the same perimeter.
These right above will have the same perimeter and area because it’s the same shape but flipped.
The method length and width works by counting across the rectangle to see how many boxes/grids are there and say there are 7, then I count by width going down and I got 3. Now I would just multiply 7 x 3. That equals 21. That’s how you find your area!
The methods to find the perimeter you do length plus width plus length plus width. In other words you find the number going across the shape say that it is 6 you do 6 + 6 that equals 12. Now you find the one going down say its 9. Now you do add that, it equals 18. So 18 plus 12.
